About Josiah
I’ve taken challenging math and science courses—including Calculus II and graduate-level Biochemistry—throughout my high school and college experience. As a current graduate student, I understand the struggles of finishing assignments, preparing for exams, and grasping difficult concepts. My tutoring approach focuses on using visualization to break down complex problems into manageable steps and simplify systems into understandable parts. I’ll help you organize your thinking and guide you through each step of the problem-solving process. I also strive to explain confusing material in a clear, memorable way that makes learning less overwhelming and more effective. I have relevant experience in tutoring algebra, geometry, and various sciences, and am especially skilled in high school level mathematics/science.

I focus on explaining complicated concepts in a simple, visual way—helping students truly understand the material rather than just memorizing terms or methods. I'm passionate about each of my specialty subjects, and I remember what it felt like to be confused by certain topics, so I approach lessons with patience and empathy. My tutoring style is collaborative: I work with you to find the answer, rather than just lecturing or giving it away. This approach helps you build a strong foundation of understanding and confidence in the subject.
