About Avery
Graduating with a BFA in Music Industry from Belmont University gave me the blueprint for how songs actually stick together. Do you ever wonder if your practice routine is just spinning wheels without a real destination?
I spent 7 years teaching folks how to navigate the fretboard using the sacred and secular traditions of gospel and blues. My teaching style is loose but structured underneath to keep things moving. We will navigate reading tabs, rhythm guitar, barre chords, reading sheet music, and scales and modes.
I spend most of my time working with self-taught players, working professionals, hobbyists, advanced learners, and adults. It helps to have a teacher who treats the guitar like a voice rather than just a machine. I am ready to get to work.
