About Sophie
My name is Sophie and I recently graduated with a Double First in English Literature from the University of Cambridge. I've loved literature ever since I was little, so it was incredible to study it at my dream university. I hope I can share this enthusiasm with my students and help them not only improve, but importantly enjoy, their English Literature studies.
I have over five years' worth of tutoring experience across A-Level and Oxbridge admissions and so have an in-depth knowledge of how to succeed in exams and high-pressured situations. I am DBS-checked so I am fully versed in all safeguarding and PREVENT duties.
My degree has given me a wealth of resources and knowledge to draw on which will help me to push my students to the next level, giving them the skills they need to achieve the best possible grades.
Outside of academics, I enjoy sport, music and languages - I can't wait to get to know my students and their passions too!

My tutoring style is student-led. I want my students to feel comfortable, confident and well-supported, which comes from letting them take initiative and direct our sessions in the way that is most helpful for them. I will push my students to achieve the best grades they can, drawing on my education at Cambridge to give my students the the correct tools, knowledge, and importantly confidence in their own ability to fulfil their academic potential. However, I will combine the academic side of tutoring with the welfare side to ensure a well-rounded tutoring session which allows my students to fulfil their academic potential.
