About Doyle

Doyle is currently employed as a college, high school, middle school and elementary band director. He also teaches about 50 private lessons per week. With 28 years teaching experience and 3 degrees, he has the experience and knowledge to help you learn how to play a band instrument. Although the majority of his students come to his studio in Hobe Sound, FL, for lessons, he has over 8 years experience teaching online using Skype, Facetime, What'sApp, and Zoom. He has helped hundreds of students successfully prepare for college auditions, competitions, recitals, concerts, and other performances. In 2000, he started and currently directs the Treasure Coast Summer Band Camp in Hobe Sound, FL. He has performed for more than 10 years with the Cornerstone Brass, producing 3 recordings and performing in several states and countries. He is comfortable teaching students as young as 5 through adults. He teaches beginning and intermediate woodwind and percussion students and beginning through advanced brass players. Having played the piano for 37 years, with numerous years of lessons, he is extremely comfortable with piano students, as well. He desires to help his students achieve any and all goals that they have. Do not hesitate to contact him with any questions.

About the lesson

Doyle strives to help his students reach their musical goals, whatever they may be. He uses method books, technical studies and solos to help students reach their fullest potential. He is extremely patient with his students, making sure that they understand and are able to apply the instruction they are receiving.
