About Syed Abaan
About Me
Hi, I'm Syed Abaan Shah, a Computer Science Engineer and passionate programmer with 4+ years of experience in programming and problem solving.
My main areas of focus are C++, Data Structures & Algorithms, programming fundamentals, and coding interview preparation. I also have hands-on experience with web development and building real-world projects, which allows me to connect programming concepts with practical applications.
I understand that learning to code can feel difficult in the beginning, especially when you move from simply learning syntax to actually solving problems. That's why I focus on making every concept clear, practical, and easy to apply.
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and structured, and I adapt my lessons according to each student's current level and goals. Whether you're starting from scratch, studying Computer Science at school or university, preparing for placements and coding interviews, or looking to strengthen your programming skills, I'll help you build your understanding step by step.
Most importantly, I want my students to become independent problem solvers who understand what they are writing and why it works.
Let's make programming something you understand, enjoy, and can confidently use.

My Teaching Approach
I believe programming is best learned by understanding concepts, writing code, and solving problems, rather than memorizing syntax or copying solutions.
With 4+ years of programming experience, I teach C++ (Python, Java also), Data Structures & Algorithms, programming fundamentals, problem solving, coding interviews, and practical development in a structured but flexible way. My classes are suitable for beginners, school and college students, engineering students, adults learning programming, and working professionals who want to improve their technical skills.
How I Teach:
I follow a practical, step-by-step approach:
Concept → Explanation → Example → Coding Together → Problem Solving → Practice
First, I explain the concept clearly and show how it works in real code. Then we implement it together and solve problems based on what we learned. I encourage students to think and write the solution themselves, while I guide them whenever they get stuck.
For DSA, I focus not only on finding the correct answer, but also on how to approach an unfamiliar problem, identify patterns, select the right data structure or algorithm, and analyze time and space complexity.
Learning Roadmap
If you are starting from scratch, we can follow a structured path such as:
1. Programming Fundamentals
* Variables, data types and operators
* Conditions and loops
* Functions
* Arrays and strings
* Pointers and references
* Recursion
* Basic problem solving
2. C++ & Object-Oriented Programming
* Classes and objects
* Constructors and destructors
* Encapsulation, inheritance and polymorphism
* STL and commonly used containers
* Writing clean and efficient C++ code
3. Data Structures
* Arrays and strings
* Linked Lists
* Stacks and Queues
* Hashing
* Trees and BSTs
* Heaps
* Graphs
4. Algorithms & Problem Solving
* Searching and sorting
* Two pointers
* Sliding window
* Binary search
* Greedy algorithms
* Recursion and backtracking
* Dynamic Programming
* Time and space complexity
5. Coding & Interview Preparation
* LeetCode-style problems
* Problem-solving patterns
* Coding interview questions
* Mock coding practice
* Interview-oriented DSA preparation
6. Development — Optional
For students interested in development, we can also move into:
* HTML & CSS
* JavaScript
* React
* Node.js & Express
* MongoDB/PostgreSQL
* Full-stack projects
The roadmap is **not rigid**. If you already know the basics, we can start directly from the topic you need help with. Every lesson is adapted to your current knowledge, learning speed, and goal.
Whether you want to learn programming from zero, strengthen your DSA, prepare for coding interviews, improve your problem-solving ability, or build real projects, my goal is to make you confident enough to solve problems independently rather than depend on someone else's code.
