About Dylan
I am currently furthering my studies in Musical Theatre Performance. I have a very strong passion for music as I started with my music training at the age of 10. I have over the last 15 years found ways to understand music in a "dumb it down for Dyl" manner. This approach is to find the simplest way to understand each level of music theory and aural training - while being able to apply it to your musical practice. I am a patient person who focuses on each individual's needs and requirements to achieve the best outcome. I have taught music theory to all my friends during our studies at WITS.

I teach in a practical manner and use simpler ways to understand the theory behind aural, training, sight-reading, and music theory. Each student is different and I work according to each student's understanding to achieve the best result as well as making music theory more fun rather than daunting. I have worked as a sales manager, therefore, I have had the privilege of working with different personality types. I have also worked at Jeppe Boys to help the students learn their music, provided vocal techniques and song interpretation for their musical production in 2019. I set goals as per each student's needs and requirements. However, focusing on maintaining a friendly and fun environment to make the lessons feel more exciting as I believe education should be structured and but never daunting.
