About Daphne
I have been teaching piano for 8 years, guiding students from school, college, and professional backgrounds to develop their technical skills, creativity, and confidence. My teaching philosophy is to make learning piano enjoyable, structured, and personalised to each student’s needs. I have helped students perform in recitals, take part in competitions, and complete graded exams with success.
My lessons cover technique, music theory, sight-reading, improvisation, and performance skills, and I encourage students to explore different musical styles while developing their unique musical voice. I strive to make each lesson rewarding, inspiring, and full of growth opportunities.

My teaching methodology is built on compassion, understanding, and consistent support. I believe that every student learns differently, and I adapt my lessons to their individual pace, style, and goals. In piano lessons, I focus on building technical skills, sight-reading, rhythm, and expressive playing, while also nurturing creativity and musical expression.
I combine structured exercises with engaging pieces that are both fun and challenging. Open communication is central—I encourage students to ask questions, share ideas, and reflect on their progress. Supportiveness is key—I guide students patiently through challenges, celebrate their achievements, and help them build confidence.
This approach also extends to other subjects I teach, including music theory, composition, and beginner improvisation. My aim is to create a motivating and inspiring environment where students grow musically, creatively, and personally.
