About Abbey
Hi! I’m Abbey, a student at Syracuse University studying Inclusive Elementary Education with a minor in Sociology. I’m passionate about education and genuinely enjoy helping students feel more confident in their abilities.
I believe tutoring should be a positive and comfortable experience. I’m patient, approachable, and willing to explain something in multiple ways until it clicks. My experience working with students and individuals with different abilities has taught me the importance of adapting to each person and recognizing that everyone learns differently.
I take my role as a tutor seriously and come prepared, organized, and ready to make each lesson productive. At the same time, I want students to feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions, and making mistakes because those are all important parts of learning.

My approach to tutoring is centered around patience, encouragement, and making learning feel approachable. As an Inclusive Elementary Education major, I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to meet each student’s individual needs, strengths, and learning preferences. I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and working through challenges without feeling judged.
