About MEGAN

I have been an Education Studies student at Sheffield Hallam for the last three years as well as training to be a TESOL teacher. I have taught over 100-second language learners and primary school students English over the last two years both in-person and online. As a result of the lessons I taught, students have gone on to take language exams, apply for jobs and develop their education. I have been involved with political campaigns with organisations such as ShoutOutUK to demand more integration of politics into the school curriculum and ran the Environmental Preservation Society at my university in order to make sustainable practices accessible and affordable for students across the university. I love meeting new people, travelling and helping students along their journey to success.

About the lesson

I like to personalise lessons to specific student needs, I will always give a free initial session so we can get to know each other. Although academic work is sometimes limited as to the personal input you can have (e.g. primary education) there is always something you can personally add to show your creativity.

As I also offer services to undergraduate students, we will zone in on your passions and filter these through your academic work.

Once the lessons get going, I will draw up a structure for your lessons. For example, if you would like your tutoring spead over a 5 week window, a personal timetable will be created for you where you can see the goals for each week.. e.g. with dissertation writing:
Week 1- Introduction
Week 2- Research techniques
Week 3- Writing a Research Question
Week 4- Data Analysis types
Week 5- Ethical Implications
This is purely intended as an example, but it is up to you how many sessions you book. If you would like to suggest specific sessions, this is also okay. Please just let me know in advance so I am able to plan these to my best ability.

All prices will be the same for each level, however, if you require a different price please message me and I will see what we can do.

Cancellations: Cancellations can be made up to 48hrs before the specified session. This enables me to make other arrangements with another student. Any cancellations made after this point will not be refunded. Thank you for understanding!
