I teach my students how to learn. I teach the fundamentals and build on them. I believe knowledge is like a house which should be built on a good foundation. Firstly, I assess a student's competence to identify strengths and weaknesses. I build on the strengths and work on the weaknesses. I tailor my approach to the person and switch things around to see how the person responds to different teaching methodology. At the end of the day, the student learns independence and critical thinking so they require fewer tutors in future.
I am a 3rd-year Electrical Engineering student at The University of Regina. I have taken undergraduate calculus, Linear algebra, and Physics classes. I am familiar with C++ and ARM assembly. I have had my share of horrible professors so I know how bad that can be. This motivated me to tutor unofficially in school; and now, I want to help more people learn new material.

Dumebi was my tutor for Math 211 at the University of Calgary. My professor was absolutely terrible at teaching and at a point, I believed I would fail the entire course. That is when Dumebi offered to become my tutor. We had tutoring sessions twice every week. Within two weeks, I saw an improvement on my assigment grades (from low 70s to high 90s) and I also scored 87% on my midterm. I am happy to say I completed the course with an A- and much of that is thanks to Dumebi’s teaching abilities. He is very friendly, wise, and great at explaining concepts. I will definitely be using his services again!
