About Emma
My professional experiences include being a camp counselor during the summers, I have babysat before, I've been a Kindergarten teacher, a Sunday school teacher, and a daycare student assistant teacher. I am currently enrolled at Texas Tech University as an Elementary Education major and would love some more experience teaching kids! Now, my passion is teaching because I love being able to be that encouragement to the students when they hit a rut in their homework. I've had so many teachers in the past make me feel some sort of worthless for not understanding a lesson and I want to be a teacher that makes them understand that it's okay to mess up and to take time to understand on their own.

As a teacher who dealt with learning with undiagnosed ADHD, learning math can be hard when you constantly have to put effort into focusing. I grew up having to find ways to learn things others had an easy time understanding. My teaching approaches are geared towards you learning how to understand concepts the way your brain works. Whether it be through physical games, or auditory lessons, or even just associating color with a method, I will curate the lesson plan to your personal understandings. I will make learning feel easy and fun for the student.
