About Sorcha
Hi my name is Sorcha and I moved to Vancouver in July 2018 from Ireland. I have a Bachelors of Honours in Education degree from the National University of Ireland. I have 5 years teaching experience in elementary schools. I currently teach grade 3 in Vancouver and have previously taught grade one and have worked as a learning resource teacher.
I have worked as a part time tutor after school for the last 2 years. I have seen great progress with my tutor students in the past and enjoy working 1:1 with children to reach their potential. 1:1 sessions work well for students who struggle in the mainstream classroom. With experience in classroom management, I can help children to focus when implementing active learning methods.
