About Ryan
With more than 7+ years of experience teaching Spanish, I specialize in working with college students who want to improve their Spanish for academic, personal, travel, or professional purposes. I enjoy creating lessons that are both structured and enjoyable.
My teaching style is flexible and student-focused. I believe there is no single method that works for every learner. I first understand the student's current ability, goals, interests, and learning challenges before choosing the right activities.
I use innovative techniques such as real-life conversations, role-playing, storytelling, vocabulary challenges, listening exercises, interactive questions, and guided discussions. These activities help students learn through experience and active communication.
I use real situations to make Spanish easier to understand. Students practice conversations about college, hobbies, travel, food, social life, daily routines, and professional situations. This allows them to develop language that is useful outside the classroom.
Grammar is taught step by step. I explain concepts in simple English, give practical examples, and then help students apply them in speaking and writing. This approach helps students build both understanding and accuracy.
Vocabulary is taught naturally through context. Instead of relying only on memorization, I use conversations, stories, questions, and practical examples. Students regularly review and use new words to strengthen their memory.
I encourage students to speak Spanish throughout the lesson. I understand that learners may feel nervous at first, so I provide a supportive environment where they can practice freely. I correct mistakes in a constructive way and explain how to improve.

I follow a practical and student-friendly approach when teaching Spanish. My methodology combines real-life examples and case studies, motivation, problem-solving, integrity, and flexibility. I want students to develop Spanish skills that they can use both inside and outside the classroom.
I introduce real situations into lessons to make Spanish easier to understand. Students may practice conversations about travel, restaurants, shopping, studies, work, family, hobbies, or daily activities. These situations help students learn useful expressions while understanding how Spanish is actually used.
Motivation helps students remain interested in the learning process. I encourage students to practice without being afraid of mistakes. I set clear and manageable goals and give positive feedback when they make progress. This helps learners become more confident and willing to communicate in Spanish.
I use problem-solving tasks to improve practical communication. Students may receive a situation where they have to ask a question, give an answer, explain something, or solve a communication problem. I guide them through the process and encourage them to think about the language they already know.
Integrity is an important part of my teaching style. I am honest about student progress and provide clear feedback. I treat every learner with respect and make sure they understand that mistakes are a normal part of language learning.
