About Priscilla

I'm an engineering graduate, currently studying for a Master's in AI in London. Maths isn't something I learnt once and moved on from. I use it every day, and that's a large part of why I enjoy teaching it. When a student asks, "When would anyone actually use this?" I can usually give them a real answer.

I teach Maths from KS2 through to A Level, adapting how I work to the age of the student: primary lessons stay short, practical and low-pressure, while A Level sessions go deeper into problem-solving and exam technique. From GCSE upwards I teach to your specific exam board.

I come prepared with material chosen for the students, and send a short summary to parents after each lesson covering what we did and what to practise.

About the lesson

Most students who come to me have decided somewhere along the way that they're "just not a maths person." I've never once found that to be true. What I usually find is a gap, negatives, fractions, rearranging, that got missed years earlier and has been quietly making everything since feel impossible.

So the first lesson is diagnostic, not a lecture. Once I know where the real gap is, we work in a steady rhythm: I talk through a problem so you can hear how I think, we do the next one together, then you take one on alone while I sit back and watch where you hesitate. I won't jump in too early. The moment where you're stuck but nearly there is the moment you actually learn something.

Lessons are 45 minutes for primary, an hour for KS3 and GCSE, and up to 90 minutes for A level.
