About Calen
I am a 25 year old engineering professional from a family of educators. I have always been passionate about STEM subjects, and I hope to communicate that passion to inspire others. My experience in tuition is extensive for my age. Where I differ from other tutors is my sense of excitement and playfulness. Study never has to be dull!

I usually like to showcase an example(s) of myself working through a problem. Then construct similar problems for my students to work on while I guide and supervise them. Tuition always works best when students bring in their own questions, personalising the sessions.
Lessons typically range between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the depth of the topic and how comfortable a student feels.
Throughout my degrees I tutored varying sizes of classes in a range of maths, science, and engineering subjects. I have also taken private high school tutoring jobs, working one on one with students. In December of 2022 I was awarded a Sessional Teaching Excellence honour by my university.
My lessons are targeted to a broad range of students. High school students are preferable, however, I am also able to take on undergraduate STEM students and primary school aged students.
