About Mohamed

I am a Mechanical Engineering PhD with several years of university teaching and research experience in Canada and internationally. I have taught and supported students in mathematics, physics, mechanical engineering, materials science, numerical methods, fluid mechanics, manufacturing, and computational subjects.

My goal as a tutor is to make difficult topics feel structured and manageable. I focus on clear explanations, patient problem solving, and helping students understand why a method works rather than simply memorizing steps.

Alongside teaching, I work in computational engineering and scientific research, using tools such as Python, MATLAB, COMSOL, and advanced simulation methods. This allows me to connect theory with practical engineering and real research applications.

I am comfortable working with students at different levels, from high school through undergraduate and graduate engineering, and I adapt my teaching style to each student’s background, pace, and goals.

About the lesson

I use a clear, step-by-step approach that focuses on understanding the concept first, then applying it through worked examples and practice problems. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and learning style rather than using the same method for everyone.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of the topic and any difficulties the student is having. I then explain the underlying ideas in simple terms, work through examples together, and gradually move toward independent problem solving. When useful, I also use diagrams, numerical examples, Python or MATLAB to make technical concepts easier to visualize.

What sets me apart is my combination of a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, research experience in computational modeling, and several years of university teaching experience. I have taught and supported students in subjects including mathematics, physics, mechanics, fluid mechanics, materials science, numerical methods, engineering drawing, manufacturing, and computational methods.

My lessons are suitable for high-school students, university students, and engineering students at undergraduate or graduate level. I can also help with exam preparation, assignments, problem-solving skills, Python for engineering, MATLAB, numerical methods, and understanding difficult technical subjects in a more intuitive way.
