About the lesson

My approach focuses on helping students truly understand math rather than just memorizing steps. I start by identifying where the student is struggling, then break concepts down into clear, simple steps and explain why each step works. I use example problems as practice, where we solve problems together first, and then I gradually let the student take the lead so they build confidence and independence. I also encourage students to explain concepts back to me, which helps solidify their understanding.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material or homework, followed by a clear explanation of the new concept in simple terms. We then work through a few example problems step by step before the student practices similar problems with my support. I end each session with a short summary and key tips to avoid common mistakes.

Through my experience at Mathnasium, I’ve worked with a wide range of students and learned how to explain the same concept in different ways until the student understands. I also focus on building strong problem-solving skills and showing how math connects to real-world applications, especially in engineering.
