About Lottie

I am a writer / director and founder of I90 West Productions.

I have worked in production houses Wildgaze Films and Monumental Pictures, reading, editing and drafting TV and film scripts. I have experience working with award winning creatives, including the Oscar winning directors Sebastian Lelio, Morgan Neville and producers Amanda Posey and Finola Dwyer.

I studied English Literature at the University of Exeter. Modules included: Poetry, Medieval Literature, Philosophy, Creative Writing, American Literature, American Independent Film, and Modern Literature. I am currently a Masters Student at NFTS, studying film directing. Alumni include Sarah Gavron (Rocks) and David Yates (Harry Potter).

I have a diploma in screenwriting and filmmaking from NYFA in New York and Los Angeles. I also have experience in performance and attended Identity School of Acting in London. Alumni include John Boyega and Letitia Wright.

I have written and directed a number of short films, including Scarlet. I’m currently working on a feature film and a documentary following a National Geographic Explorer.

I love working with students or professionals and teaching from my experience. I look forward to my classes and helping you with your creative work.

About the lesson

I offer tutoring relating to creative writing, filmmaking, screenwriting and production. I can also assist with English Literature essays up to Postgraduate level and help with dissertation and thesis writing and editing.

I work one-to-one sessions and also offer workshops: developing your writing skills, with exercises that allow you to experiment with your creative writing craft and understand and develop your characters and world of the story. I have experience developing scripts in production studios and working on numerous sets and productions. I also offer consultations in filmmaking and production. I have experience writing and directing films and working in production companies with high level talent and industry executives. I am passionate about film, creative writing and literature! I like to keep my lessons proactive, allow an ability to experiment and develop your storytelling skills and really work on your craft.

All sessions are offered via webcam using google hangouts or zoom.

Depending on the level of study, the first session may need to be an assessment of the student’s or professional's level and what they aim to achieve from the sessions.

One to one sessions last 45-60 minutes. Workshops of up to five people last 60 minutes with a 10 minute break. Minimum 24 hours cancellation notice required. Refunds not available. If 24 hours notice of cancellation is not provided before a session, that session will be forfeit. By accepting tuition, students agree to these terms and conditions.

Details

I'm also happy to edit full dissertations, scripts, TV pilots, drafts, short stories, novels and fiction and non-fiction writing for an hourly or daily rate.

My daily rate (where applicable) £200/day.

I also offer detailed 8-10 pages coverage of TV, film and short scripts, with detailed analysis, story breakdown, synopsis, character descriptions and production / distribution advice, for a separate fee:

£100 for TV and Film scripts
£50 for short scripts (up to 30 pages)
