About Albie
As someone with dyslexia, I know how hard reading and writing can be. However, I believe for everyone there are ways to learn and these will be entirely different for every student.
When I first began my English Literature degree, I had a mentor provided by the University of Surrey to assist me in my writing. By the end of the degree, I was mentoring students and helping them with writing essays in degrees such as law, Politics Media and Literature. This was possible because of the mentoring I had initially received, which had made me far more confident and competent in my skills. I know have vital one to one teaching can be and would love to help students struggling in similar ways I did.
Alongside mentoring University students, I have also taught English as a language to children from 5-16, tutored coding to classes of up to ten students and worked in care for over three years. I am calm and patient and have experience assisting a variety of individuals, all from different levels and backgrounds.

The teaching process of my lessons are made to work around the student. This means it is vital to discuss what specially the student is wanting help with and to see some of their prior work. From this, I will find resources I believe will help them whether this is online websites, past papers or planning techniques. I will try and support in whatever way I can and, if there is a way you like to learn, please do let me know and I will try and make it happen!
