About Leonie
Hiya, I'm Leonie!
I am a enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual who is looking to gain some experience in teaching and tutoring. I am a recent graduate from the University of Manchester where I gained a 2:1 in English Literature. During my time at university I gained a lot of experience in preparing for lectures and seminars and in writing coherent and well-structured academic essays. I also held roles such as Editor for the Student Newspaper and Student Co-ordinator where I was the individual in charge of helping students to realise their full potential through course specific seminars, essay writing workshops and so on. The skills that I have gained throughout my time at University in communication, essay writing and editing will make me an ideal tutor for students studying up to A-Level standards.
In addition to my English Literature degree, A-Levels and GCSEs, I have also lived and worked in Japan and Fiji where I was working with locals, assisting them with their English Language skills and I am confident that I can assist those wanting to learn English as a Foreign Language. I believe that I would be a very patient tutor, always working hard to ensure that my students understand and can consolidate their learning. I would hope to cater the lessons to their interests in order to make each lesson as enjoyable as possible!
