About Antoinette
I have helped 100s of pupils get into their destination school such as Eton, Radley or secure their Academic Scholarship. Sometimes, all you need is a little trick to break through comprehensions. From Kings' Scholars to making the 55% in Common Entrance, my techniques help pupils to get as many marks on offer as possible.
I was educated in Canada, taught in New Zealand, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. I am currently an Assistant Head at a top prep school in Warwickshire. Previously, I was Head of English at another top prep school in Berkshire.

Lessons are fun, useful and start from where the student is 'at'. I assess each pupil's fluency and understanding. I use vocabulary flashcards on websites such as Quizlet to help support pupils' learning outside of the lesson.
Often children struggle to decode the question so I identify key words to help them 'find the marks'. For example, if a question asks what is your 'impression' of a character, then the answer should have adjectives to describe that character.
