About Sharna

I am an experienced English tutor with a First Class Joint Honours degree in English Language and English Literature. I take a gentle and understanding approach to tutor clients in areas ranging from KS3, GCSE and A level. My approach is tailored to each student, taking into consideration their interests, strengths and weaknesses in order to boost confidence in uncertain areas. I ensure that students understand their studied texts well, and feel confident in translating that knowledge into well-read, insightful and high-scoring essays.

About the lesson

In our first lesson, I will take the time to get to know the student and begin to understand the best methods of study for them specifically. Throughout our sessions, I will: Break down school-studied material to enhance understanding ahead of exams / Encourage critical thinking and insightful engagement with texts / Work together to improve GCSE essay writing / Provide engaging and focused lessons tailored to specific needs / Provide an empathetic and understanding approach to tutoring
