I’m Jo, an MFA-trained writer and experienced English tutor with a passion for helping students strengthen their writing and find their authentic voice. I believe writing improves through conversation and curiosity, so I ask thoughtful questions to help students uncover their ideas rather than simply correct them. Each session blends practical guidance with creative encouragement, ensuring students leave not just with a stronger paper, but with a better grasp of how to express themselves on the page.
My background as an MFA graduate and professional writer allows me to bring real-world writing experience into an academic setting, helping students connect the technical with the expressive.
