About Jelena

Hi there, I'm Jelena, an online English teacher with a degree in English Language and Literature. I have been working as an online English teacher since 2012 with students from 15+ countries, and I hope to meet and help many more awesome people here. :)

I am very friendly and open-minded, always happy to chat, so I'll do my best for the students to enjoy the learning process as much as possible and see it more as a friendship and learning partnership than just a cold and dull student-teacher relationship.

The first class is always absolutely free of charge, so if you'd like to meet up just to check if we're a good fit for each other, shoot!

About the lesson

I base my classes on conversation mainly, as it is crucial to be able to communicate in English rather than just learn grammar rules or word lists. Students and I try to find the most suitable methods and lesson types together, and it's always possible to change any aspect of the lesson at any moment. I am here for any kind of help and am always open to feedback!

NOTICE: I have recently noticed that some emails I got from here went to my spam folder and I want to apologize to the students whose emails I have missed. Ignoring the lesson requests was never my intention, it's something I never do. I always reply to every message I receive, but unfortunately a few messages ended up in the wrong place and I didn't see them before it was too late to reply. I will do everything I can so that it never happens again.
