About Makayla

My name is Makayla, and I am a first year medical student. I graduated from college in 2021, and worked as an EMT while I applied to schools! I always loved science, and knew that I wanted to make that my career. I also played volleyball growing up, and played in college as well! That got me interested in Athletic Training because I thought I could combine sports with science. The more I went down the Athletic Training path, the more I wanted to be able to help people with their health and wellness. That's when I decided I wanted to go into healthcare!

About the lesson

I believe all students learn differently. So, I will take some time initially to try to learn how you learn and I will do my best to base lessons off of that! We can spend time going over homework assignments, studying for upcoming exams, or truly however you feel your time will be best spent. I have been a Teacher's Assistant for multiple classes throughout high school and college. I was also a peer tutor in high school. Now, I teach "Stop the Bleed" classes to local high school students through a group at my school. I truly love teaching and medicine. As I mentioned in the ad, this is a tough field and a tough one to get into. But, I am here to help you make your dreams come true.
