I am goofy and like to laugh. Learning doesn't have to cause any grief to anyone. If it is done right it is fulfilling and rewarding. I struggled until third grade. That was when my mom noticed that I am a visual learner and helped me to figure out a better way to remember things.

I struggled when I was young to be able to understand my teachers. That was when my mom started to help me with word and theme association. That along with good practices from years of schooling make me an approachable and effective tutor.
I start off by getting to know how my pupil learns. Then we go through and do a comprehensive assessment of what they know and then figure out where we need to start and how fast we need to progress. After an initial session or two we can come up with a contract between the two of us just stating how much time and effort we are going to commit to ensuring their success in the subject that needs improvement.
