About Ben
I am a passionate Saxophone tutor with 10+ years of teaching experience and have successfully taught around 150 students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. I enjoy helping students build confidence and musical skill through structured yet enjoyable lessons.
My teaching approach is flexible and student-centered. I understand that each learner has a different pace and learning style, so I adapt my lessons to meet individual needs and goals. I focus on clarity, consistency, and motivation to ensure steady improvement.
Lessons cover essential saxophone fundamentals such as proper breathing, embouchure development, tone control, finger coordination, and rhythm accuracy. As students advance, I guide them in musical phrasing, articulation, dynamics, and basic improvisation to help them play expressively.
In addition to saxophone performance, I teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to support complete musical development. My goal is to help students enjoy learning while becoming confident and independent saxophone players.

My teaching methodology for saxophone emphasizes balance between practice and performance. Each lesson includes technical drills for finger accuracy, articulation, and tone clarity, followed by song application. I motivate students by giving them performance opportunities and short challenges that build confidence.
Communication is patient and supportive, making learning comfortable and productive. Integrity is reflected in my honest assessment of strengths and areas that need improvement.
Creativity is encouraged through expressive playing, experimenting with tempo changes, and exploring various music genres. Besides saxophone, I provide lessons in ear training and basic composition to help students grow as musicians.
