About Charissa
I am a computer science graduate student now, but even as a kid I’ve always loved to learn. However, I was one of those students where if the teacher was good I would do well, but if the teacher was bad then I didn’t excel as I usually would.
Then, when I got into college I spent most of time having to teach myself. Turns out, I’m pretty good at it when I apply myself. I have come to an understanding that most kids are that way. They are eager to learn, but they have a teacher who is set on only one style of teaching. That’s where I come in!

I believe in fun while learning and the best teachers are the ones that connect with their students.
I believe in “hard work gets things done”, but also, “stop and smell the roses”. It’s a healthy balance that I incorporate into my teaching style.
I have teaching experience with preschoolers, senior citizens, and everyone in between.
I teach general education English, sociology, psychology, world history, American history, government, physics, biology, life science, elementary math, pre algebra, algebra 1-3, trigonometry, geometry, Spanish 1 &2, along with SAT prep.
