About Akram
My name is Akram, and I am an experienced ABA Tutor with a passion for supporting children with autism and additional needs.
I have previous experience providing 1:1 ABA-informed support, helping children develop communication, independence, social skills, confidence and positive learning behaviours. I believe every child learns differently, and I focus on creating a calm, supportive and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable to grow at their own pace.
My approach is child-centred and built around understanding each child's individual strengths, interests and goals. I use structured teaching, positive reinforcement, play-based learning and personalised strategies to help children build meaningful skills.
I understand the importance of trust when choosing someone to support your child. My aim is to work collaboratively with families and celebrate every achievement, whether big or small.

My Approach & Lesson Structure
I provide ABA-informed 1:1 learning support tailored to each child's individual needs, strengths and goals.
Sessions may include:
Communication development – encouraging requesting, conversation, social interaction and functional communication.
Positive reinforcement – rewarding and encouraging desired behaviours and skills.
Structured learning activities – developing attention, following instructions, matching, academic skills and independence.
Social skills practice – supporting turn-taking, play skills and confidence.
Life skills & independence – breaking tasks into smaller steps and building confidence through gradual progress.
Parent collaboration – working with families to maintain consistency and track progress.
I use child-centred methods, including Natural Environment Teaching (learning through play), prompting and fading, task analysis, and positive reinforcement to help children develop skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
