About LETISHA MARIA

Hello! My name is Letisha Maria , and I am a passionate and dedicated primary school tutor who enjoys helping children discover their potential and become confident learners.

I have experience working with young learners and supporting them in Mathematics, English and Science, with a strong understanding of the Cambridge Primary curriculum. I enjoy creating lessons that are simple, engaging and suited to each child's individual learning needs.

I am a patient, friendly and encouraging tutor. I understand that children learn at different speeds, so I take time to identify areas where a learner needs support and adapt my teaching approach accordingly.

My lessons combine clear explanations, practical examples, questions, activities and guided practice to make learning enjoyable while ensuring that children develop a strong understanding of what they are learning.

I believe that tutoring is about more than improving grades. It is also about building confidence, curiosity, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Whether your child needs help catching up, preparing for assessments, strengthening their foundation or simply gaining more confidence in a subject, I would be happy to support them on their learning journey.

My Approach to Private Tutoring

I believe every child learns differently, so my tutoring approach is personalized to each learner's needs, abilities, and learning pace.
My lessons are interactive, patient, and engaging, rather than simply focusing on memorizing information. I use simple explanations, practical examples, questions, visual learning activities, and guided practice to help children understand concepts and become confident independent learners.
For younger learners, I make lessons enjoyable and age-appropriate while maintaining clear learning goals. I also identify areas where a child may be struggling and provide additional practice and support until they develop a strong understanding.
For Cambridge Primary learners, I can align lessons with the curriculum while preparing children for classwork, assessments, and examinations.
I also believe in positive encouragement. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, because building a child's confidence is an important part of helping them succeed academically.
My goal is not just to help a child get better grades, but to help them understand, enjoy learning, develop confidence, and become independent learners.
