My teaching methods are based on the needs of students. I use unique approach for every student and offer flexible schedule. I provide help with homework, explain basic theory, give more advanced exercises and real life applications. I am skilled to teach high school mathematics and undergraduate calculus.
I like to teach like Richard Feynman but also make sure to have students practice a lot of questions once the basic concepts are understood since working on problems solidifies the concepts better. With experience, I can understand which areas are more important to focus compared to others.
My teaching prinicples are based on Human learning and the fact that every child is unique in his/her own manner.
My teaching style leans more towards flexible, I base my classes according to the level at which the student is at and am always open to suggestions and feedback. I do believe that the best way to excel at a subject is by repetitive recollection, therefore, I support giving students homework problems to practice in their own time for further practice. Practice really does make perfect.
My lessons emphasize understanding and mathematical thinking over rote memorization. The more a student understands, the less they need to remember—and less risk they have of misremembering or forgetting something critical during a test. Of course, fostering this understanding must be balanced against coursework deadlines and exam preparation.
I feel that perhaps the most critical aspect of a good teacher is the willingness to grow continually, to seek out new ideas and innovations, to maintain and improve practices that work well, and to critically examine and alter those that do not.
Background and qualifications: • Offer over thirty years of proven expertise in academia • Received teaching awards and excellent student evaluation scores surpassing course benchmarks for teaching quality Experience in: • Maintaining student retention, increasing student academic achievement and analyzing student work to improve academic performance • Differentiating math lessons to meet
I approach a subject with structure and flexibility within that that structure. I first try to determine what the student is having problems with. After that, each problem is addressed individually in order of importance to the course or degree of difficulty. I try to impart an understanding of the subject matter beyond just getting a homework assignment completed.
I approach the subject with the fundamentals and I am very flexible about the approach as there is no particular way of teaching the student. I always try to make sure that the student is understanding the WHY of everything as it always helps the student in enjoying the subject.
Mostly I take online and remote classes. My teaching style is very powerful with lot of visual and presentation effect that could make a student learn anything new with lot of interest and with creative thinking. I treat students of all the culture , country and regions equally.
My teaching methods focus on practice problems and repetition. Taking complex ideas/concepts and making them as simple as possible is how I learn and teach. I believe the key to learning math/stats is to learn how to think like a mathematician, rather than memorizing formulas or methods.
I strongly believe that physics is a very practical subject and it needs to be taught as such. It is never a bunch of theories that only nerds will understand. My teaching method is to get to know each student's background, strengths and weaknesses, and plan lessons and example problems based on that.
My teaching methods are obtaining the student difficulties and giving shortcuts to follow my lessons and monitoring students performance. Student centered learning style is used.
My teaching focuses on knowing exactly what each student needs to know, and what they know already. Gaps in an individual's knowledge is one of the main obstacles for learning. I look forward to understanding the way each individual learns.
I love understanding what the problem is. From understanding, the problem i will effectively find a solution to your problem. what most tutors don't understand is knowing the problem, i work through a variety of lessons to understand my client needs.
My teaching method is to help student to have a right mindset for problem solving. Breaking down the problem into easier problems to solve. Focus on the approach and how to find the solution. I would push the student to be slightly outside of their comfort zone for them to grow.
I am new to tutoring but would like to structure the lessons around the current problems the student is experiencing in their class. I have knowledge of both high school mathematics as well as university level calculus. I prefer to use practice problems to go through as it is the best way to learn math.
My teaching methods adapt to the students needs. I am a very hands on teacher that is most helpful when the student attempts the problem then asks educated guesses rather that asking for help before trying. I am a strong believe in teaching with examples to help guide the student through the problems.
I believe that hard work, practice and patient is best when tackling any subject. I think that for any teacher-student relationship success relies on both parties committing to working on what is wrong and focus on doing what is right. I believe that as a teacher or tutor, it is my duty to motivate students to want to do better in a subject and inspire a will to succeed.
My teaching methods are based on attempting to ground the theory being presented into real world contexts, so that students with difficulty thinking abstract need not do so.
My areas of strengths include expertise in teaching pre-calculus, calculus, AP calculus. Agile and dedicated Math Teacher with profound numeracy skills and full command on Mathematical operations Proficient in MS Office and JabRef software and learnt the basics of MATLAB, LaTex and FORTRAN-90. I posses good communication skills, easily develop a good connect with students.
I understand how frustrating and sometimes embarrassing it can be to have to seek tutoring help, and not being able to understand it all in a classroom environment as the pace may be too fast. So I base my teachings on the student. their level, their pace, and try and work at a level that is more understanding, and flexible for him/her.
I believe that hands on learning through examples and practice problems is the best way to understand math. This method builds up a tuition that gives the student confidence to work their way to the solution of any problem. I ask questions in order to get insight into the students understanding, allowing me to teach them so they can learn in their own way.
***Highly adaptable teaching methodology*** I am able to support the needs of each student or group. I understand the various learning methods and styles; I recognize the use of information technology; I am able to recommend proven techniques and actions to further grasp and understand complexities.
I prepare customised lessons based on my student's own needs. I posses a vast number of exercises from class, homework and previous exams with solutions that I use as part of my lessons. Every person has different needs and struggles with different, specific concepts, hence why I do use the same material for everyone and anyone.
- Preparing PowerPoint slides due to the related subject to be taught - Explaining the concepts with regards to practical and understandable examples - Preparing the suitable exercises from the simplest ones to more complex and challenging ones - Preparing and sending the related exercises on-line for the students - Receiving the answers from students and correction and verifying on-line or in...
I approach the subject depending on the needs of the students. With Math, I usually use real-life scenarios for the student to better understand the logic behind every problem and to change their view that Math is not really a problem.
I prefer hands on interactive teaching where my students are in the driving seat and I guide them from the sidelines. All I do is to give them the different approaches and let them experiment on each. I prefer to teach grade students.
To be sure of the quality of our tutors and teachers and their lessons, we collect the reviews of former students.
