About Mikaela
I am a passionate dance educator and choreographer with over a decade of experience teaching dancers of all ages and levels. I have served as a Director of Dance at a private boarding school, worked with an elite summer arts program, am an Assistant Director of a competitive team, giving me a broad range of expertise across contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern and choreography. My teaching philosophy blends high-level training with a supportive, encouraging approach. I believe dance education should not only build strong technique, but also foster confidence, creativity, and discipline. Whether I am preparing students for auditions, helping them refine their artistry, or simply guiding them to fall in love with movement, my goal is to bring out the very best in every dancer I work with.

About My Lessons:
My private lessons are designed to meet each dancer exactly where they are, whether they are building a strong technical foundation, preparing for auditions, or refining performance quality. I specialize in contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern, and choreography, and I bring years of experience as an Assistant Director of Dance, competitive teacher, and choreographer.
Each session is tailored to the dancer’s goals, focusing on proper technique, musicality, artistry, and confidence.
I strive to create a supportive and motivating environment where dancers can take risks, push themselves, and grow both as artists and individuals.
Lessons may include:
-Technique drills and conditioning to strengthen alignment and control
-Choreography coaching to enhance style, stage presence, and performance quality
-Audition and competition preparation with personalized feedback
-Goal-setting to track progress and celebrate achievements
My goal is to help dancers unlock their potential and leave each lesson feeling more confident, capable, and inspired.
