About Ingy
I’m an educator, curriculum specialist, and former English Department Head with around 10 years of experience teaching and supporting students across different age groups, cultures, and academic levels. I hold an MA in Education, and my background also includes visual arts, publishing, curriculum design, assessment, and educational technology.
What matters most to me is helping students become more confident, independent thinkers. I don’t want students to memorize a formula and depend on a teacher forever; I want them to understand how to approach a task, recognize what is expected, and make strong decisions on their own.
I’m known for being approachable, creative, and able to make students feel comfortable enough to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again. At the same time, I keep expectations clear and take progress seriously.
I enjoy teaching English, academic and analytical writing, reading, research, exam preparation, and general academic literacy, especially at the secondary level. I also enjoy working with students who have struggled with traditional methods and need someone to explain the same concept in a different, more accessible way.
For me, good teaching is not about making learning easier; it is about making the path to understanding clearer.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s current level, goals, and learning style rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I begin by identifying strengths, gaps, and the specific skills that need improvement, then build lessons around clear objectives, guided practice, feedback, and gradual independence.
My teaching combines structured explanation with practical application. Depending on the learner, I use visual examples, modeling, scaffolded tasks, discussion, project-based activities, digital tools, and targeted practice. For writing, I focus heavily on helping students understand structure, purpose, evidence, analysis, and clarity rather than memorizing formulas.
Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s age, goals, and the intensity of the work.
I hold an MA in Education and have around 10 years of experience in English Language Arts, literacy, academic writing, assessment, curriculum design, intervention, and exam preparation. I have also worked as an English Department Head and ELA Team Leader and have taught students across upper elementary, middle school, and high school, with particularly strong experience at the secondary level.
My lessons are suitable for students who need support with English Language Arts, academic and analytical writing, reading comprehension, grammar, research, essay writing, SAT/ACT/EST English preparation, study skills, and general academic literacy.
I aim to make students feel comfortable enough to ask questions, take risks, and think independently, while still maintaining clear expectations and measurable progress.
