About Leigh
I am excited to join you on your learning journey. I am an experienced educator with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and I bring 10 years of teaching experience across kindergarten through fifth grade. Throughout my career, I have worked in fully inclusive classrooms, supporting the diverse needs of students, including those with special needs. Additionally, I hold a master's degree in Educational Administration and Leadership, which enhances my ability to create an effective and supportive learning environment. I specialize in writing, play-based interventions, and social skills. For language and literacy, we can engage in brainstorming sessions, writing workshops, editing, proofreading, and open dialogue to tackle all assignments together. For social skills, we will work on role-playing, scripts, and understanding emotions through perspective-taking.
