My name is Piyani. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and went on to get my Masters in Biomedical Engineering from UC Berkeley and UCSF. I have been tutoring mathematics for a variety of students for over 10 years!

I have been a private tutor since 2010 and have had students with various backgrounds and needs. I have taught everything from elementary math to Calculus. In college, I worked as a teaching assistant for multiple Calculus courses. During this time, I would plan review sessions and keep office hours where students could drop by and review complex concepts with me.
As a tutor, I genuinely believe that education should be empowering, not discouraging. This philosophy drives my passion for making sure each interaction with a student empowers them. My main goal during tutoring is not only to help students gain a better understanding of the complex concepts in their coursework but also to instill confidence in themselves. As such, I love facilitating discussions and tailoring my teaching to each student's individual needs and learning style. I look forward to working with you too!
