About Graham

I’m a creative director with more than three decades of graphic design experience in London agencies. With an indepth understanding of branding, digital media, web, video, animation, print and advertising, I love connecting the dots to make ideas work across every platform.

Alongside my design career, I’ve been developing my visual art practice for over 25 years, cheerfully squeezing creativity into the gaps between work, life and parenting. There’s always room for a little artistic mischief and artistic license!

Inspiration is everywhere—which is why a quick stroll through a forest or along a beach can turn into a longer than expected expedition. I’m drawn to the extraordinary hiding in ordinary things and the tiny details at our feet that demand a closer look. For me, making art starts with slowing down, looking again and letting a little childlike wonder take the lead.

About the lesson

My approach to mentoring is all about sparking curiosity, building confidence and helping you discover what excites you. How I will mentor very much depends on you – where you're at, and what you hope to achieve.

Everyone is unique, so all my lessons will be tailored to you. Through honest, constructive feedback and a shared exploration of your interests and how you work best, we’ll develop your skills, sharpen your thinking and have fun along the way.

As a father of three, I know how rewarding it can be to explore the world through fresh eyes. I’d love to work with curious minds aged 8 and upwards, making space for questions, new ideas and discovery. Whether you’re exploring an interest or working towards a diploma or degree, we’ll build on what inspires you and help you take the next step.

Graham is incredibly creative and always open and curious to explore anything and everything within that field - if he lends you his eyes you'll see things you never noticed before! He's great at facilitating and always allows space for your own personal creative journey regardless of your perceived skill. Aside from all this he's a gem of a human, is very friendly and has a fab sense of humour.

Graham did some excellent design work for me, helping to promote my business, as well as having created an inspired artwork that now takes up most of one wall in my living room. His natural sense of curiosity informs his work, while I'm sure his eye for detail and creativity will help students improve their own.
