About Kathryn

I have been a math teacher for over 15 years. I have been a teacher for over 25. My first 10 years of teaching experience was as a music teacher in a music studio. In between teaching, I was an electrical engineer for NAVSEA and a small business owner. I know what it means to climb mountains and overcome life changing challenges. I love my family, teaching, math and helping others.

About the lesson

I have been blessed to "speak math good", as many students over the years have told me. I am told by my previous students that they "miss" me. When I ask them why, the tell me that they miss my positive energy. When I help out in class rooms I am visiting (I am a campus instructional math coach) the students are happy to see me and will ask me when I plan to visit his or her class again. I have students that seek me out when they are in college to for math tutoring. I have even had students ask me to support younger siblings and cousins. I promote learning in a positive way.
