About Parth

About Me
1. International Pedigree: I am a professional Chess Instructor with a proven track record on global platforms such as Outschool and Forsyntax, where I have successfully coached hundreds of students across the UK, USA, and Middle East.

2. Academic Excellence: Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Delhi, I bring a high level of intellectual discipline and analytical thinking to my coaching sessions.

3. Specialised Coaching: I specialise in teaching children and teenagers (ages 5–15). Whether it is a child's very first game or an intermediate player looking to enter tournaments, I tailor my curriculum to their specific developmental needs.

4. Holistic Growth: My philosophy goes beyond the 64 squares; I focus on building critical thinking, emotional resilience, and strategic planning skills that help students excel both on the board and in their academic lives.

5. Professional Reliability: I pride myself on maintaining a highly professional, punctual, and encouraging learning environment. I am well-versed in Western educational standards and communicate complex concepts in a clear, easy-to-understand manner.

My Teaching Methodology
Active Engagement: I use the Socratic Method, asking students questions to guide them to the best move rather than just giving answers. This builds long-term critical thinking.

Digital Tools: I utilise interactive boards (Lichess Studies & Chess.com Classroom) to draw arrows, highlight motifs, and save every lesson for the student to review later.

Game Analysis: We spend time reviewing the student's recent games to identify patterns of errors and celebrate their "brilliant" moves.

Thematic Focus: Each month covers a specific theme—from opening principles and tactical "forks" to complex endgame techniques.

Typical Lesson Structure & Length
Duration: Lessons are typically 60 minutes, which is the ideal time for a deep dive into strategy followed by a practice game.

Structure: * 5 mins: Tactical Warm-up.

10 mins: Recent Game Review.

25 mins: Core Strategy Lesson (e.g., King Safety or The Pin).

15 mins: Guided Sparring with "Think Out Loud" coaching.

5 mins: Summary & Homework Assignment.

Experience & Qualifications
International Reach: I am an established Chess Instructor at Outschool and Forsyntax, having successfully coached hundreds of students across the US, UK, and UAE.

Academic Foundation: Currently pursuing a Master’s in Political Science, I bring an analytical and disciplined approach to teaching, ensuring a high-quality educational environment.

Proven Results: I have helped beginners reach their first 1000 ELO and assisted intermediate players in refining their tournament repertoires.

Who the Lessons Are For
Ages 5–15: I specialise in teaching children, using storytelling and fun puzzles to keep them focused and excited about the game.

Skill Levels: From "Absolute Beginners" (learning how pieces move) to "Intermediate Players" (focusing on strategy and advanced tactics).
