About Lavanya

Hi, I'm Nadhi — an A-Level Psychology tutor specialising in AQA. I help students go from confused and overwhelmed to confident and exam-ready.
I study Psychology at university level and achieved top A-Level results myself, including receiving offers from King's and other top Russel group universities, so I know exactly what the AQA examiners want to see — and more importantly, how to help you give it to them.
Whether you're struggling with understanding the theories, writing strong 16-mark essays, or just don't know where to start with revision — I can help. My sessions are calm, structured and completely tailored to you.

About my lessons:
Every session is built around what you specifically need. We might work on:

Breaking down a topic you're stuck on
Improving your essay structure and evaluation skills
Building a revision plan around your exam dates
Practising past paper questions with examiner-style feedback

I use evidence-based techniques from cognitive psychology — active recall, spaced repetition, retrieval practice — because they actually work, and I'll teach you how to use them yourself so you're not dependent on me forever.
Sessions are 60 minutes online via Google Meet. Shorter or longer sessions available on request.

About the lesson

My psychology lessons are structured, personalised, and grounded in cognitive science. I focus on building deep understanding first, then strengthening memory, exam technique, and application skills through active recall, spaced practice, and exam-style questions.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes (shorter or longer sessions available) and are adapted to your syllabus, goals, and energy levels. I support GCSE, A-level, and undergraduate psychology students, helping with content clarification, essay structure, evaluation, and exam preparation.

I have two years’ experience as a psychology mentor and tutor, supporting AQA psychology students, and I am currently studying psychology at university while working in an academically rigorous degree apprenticeship. My teaching style is calm, structured, and confidence-building, designed to help students feel in control of their learning and achieve consistent results.
