About Angelise
Hi, I’m Angelise. I’m a licensed math teacher with over six years of experience working with middle and high school students. I have a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, and I’ve taught students with all kinds of learning styles and confidence levels.
I know math can be frustrating, especially when something just is not clicking. I try to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking their time. I’m patient, dependable, and I genuinely enjoy helping students understand something they may have struggled with before.
My goal is not to rush through a lesson. I want students to leave feeling like the math makes a little more sense and like they can actually do it.

I try to make math feel less overwhelming and more manageable. I like to figure out where a student is getting stuck first, then break the problem down step by step in a way that makes sense to them.
During a typical lesson, we may review a skill, work through examples together, and then have the student try a few problems on their own. I ask a lot of questions because I want students to understand what they are doing, not just copy steps.
I have more than six years of experience teaching middle and high school math, and I have worked with students at many different skill levels. I am patient, encouraging, and I do not expect every student to learn the same way.
I can help with middle school math, Pre Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, homework help, test prep, and building stronger math skills and confidence.
