About Brian
Hi, I'm Coach B! I've always enjoyed helping people learn, especially when it comes to math. Seeing a student go from feeling frustrated or overwhelmed to finally saying, "I get it now," is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
I'm a high school math teacher with a background in engineering, which has given me both a strong understanding of mathematics and an appreciation for how it's used in the real world. I believe math makes a lot more sense when you understand the "why" behind it instead of simply memorizing formulas.
I know that everyone learns differently, so I take the time to understand how each student thinks and adjust my teaching style to fit their needs. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and growing from them.
Together we will raise your grade, prepare for an exam, or strengthen your math skills. I'm here to help you build confidence one lesson at a time. I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals.

I believe every student can learn math with the right support. My job is to meet you where you are, figure out what's getting in the way, and help you build the confidence and skills you need to be successful.
I work with middle school, high school, and college students in subjects like Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. Some students come to me because they're falling behind, while others want to prepare for an upcoming test or simply understand their class better. Every lesson is built around your goals.
Our sessions are one hour long and completely focused on you. We'll spend a few minutes identifying what you're struggling with, then work through examples together before practicing problems on your own. I'll explain each step in plain language and make sure you understand the process instead of just memorizing formulas. I want you to leave each lesson feeling like the material finally makes sense.
As a math teacher with a background in engineering, I've worked with students who learn in many different ways. I know that asking for help can feel intimidating, so I do my best to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome. There's no judgment here. If we need to explain something three different ways before it clicks, that's exactly what we'll do.
My goal isn't just to help you get through your next assignment. I want you to become more confident and better prepared for the next math challenge that comes your way.
