About Samantha

I’m a certified math teacher with over 30 years of experience, teaching grades three through seven. Throughout my career I’ve helped hundreds of students move from confusion to clarity by making math both accessible and engaging. My teaching style is patient, encouraging and grounded in a deep understanding of how children learn best. Whether a student is struggling or ready to be challenged, I meet them exactly where they are and help them grow from there. I bring professionalism structure and warmth to every session so students feel supported and capable every step of the way. About the lesson

As a tutor, I believe that the most meaningful learning happens through discovery. Rather than simply providing answers, I guide students to uncover concepts themselves, linking what they already know to new ideas. This method builds both confidence and deep understanding.

Each lesson begins by activating prior knowledge, something the students already encountered, and then expanding on it with a carefully designed task or challenge. Through guided questioning, I support the students already encountered in drawing conclusions, recognizing patterns and developing strategies they can apply not just to the current topic but to similar problems in the future.

What sets me apart is my ability to create a calm, encouraging space where students feel safe to think, try and even make mistakes. With over 30 years of classroom experience in grades 3-7, I understand how to meet students where they are and build from there. My lessons are tailored, paced appropriately, and always focused on long-term growth, not just quick fixes.

These sessions are ideal for the students in grades 3-7 who want to strengthen their math foundation, deepen their understanding or rebuild their confidence in their skills.
