About Mahbod

Hi! I’m Mahbod, a passionate and experienced math tutor with a strong academic background in mathematics, physics, and engineering.

My passion for mathematics started in Tehran, Iran, where I developed a strong foundation in advanced mathematics and physics through Mathematics and Physics Olympiad studies. This experience strengthened my analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities from an early age.

I continued my education at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), where I studied Civil Engineering for four years, followed by four years of Industrial Engineering studies. My extensive engineering background has given me a deep understanding of Calculus, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and other advanced mathematical subjects.

Alongside my academic journey, I have gained hands-on tutoring experience working with both high school and university students. I enjoy helping students overcome challenges, understand difficult concepts, and achieve their academic goals.

What sets me apart is my combination of an Olympiad mathematics background, extensive engineering education, and practical tutoring experience. I don’t just teach students how to solve problems; I help them understand why mathematical methods work and how to approach unfamiliar questions with confidence.

I consider myself patient, approachable, and dedicated to my students’ success. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and teaching methods to each student’s individual needs.

While my main expertise is in high school and university-level mathematics, I also enjoy working with elementary and middle school students to help them build a strong mathematical foundation.

My goal is to make mathematics clear, approachable, and even enjoyable while helping every student reach their full academic potential.

With a strong background in Mathematics and Physics Olympiad studies, eight years of engineering education at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), and previous tutoring experience with high school and university students, I offer personalized math lessons designed to make even the most challenging concepts easier to understand.

I specialize in Calculus, Algebra, Linear Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Advanced Functions, and University-Level Mathematics, while also teaching elementary and middle school students.
