About Alison
Hello; you're in good hands with me! I love to learn, and I love to share that learning with others, too! I have mastered Mathematics to a very high level, several semesters past any of the topics I feel comfortable instructing. Rest assured that—while such operations as Rational Functions and Derivatives may now be elementary to me—I recall very clearly the challenge of learning these topics. I would like to share my retrospective with you; I think you are going to find it immensely beneficial.

While I am happy to drive the topics of the sessions myself, in my experience my students usually have something they want to talk about on any given day. So, we usually go with whatever that is (I already have lessons pre-planned and practiced for whatever topics I might be working on). I make a point of pausing to ensure understanding, and encourage my students to interrupt me with questions whenever they feel the need. I love the work I do; it makes me so happy to know I am helping students be all they can be.
I focus primarily on the high school and college levels, covering test prep for ACT/SAT as well as Math from Algebra through Calculus.
