About Timothy
I have an undergraduate degree in the mathematics as well as a passion and desire to show students not only the beauty of maths, but also it's accessibility for everyone. I've tutored numerous students of all ages from children aged 6 all the way to university students in both maths and physics classes. I also have experience working in a school setting with students who have learning disabilities, are on the autism spectrum or need other types of additional support. I pride myself in taking complex concepts and ideas and explaining them clearly and concretely in a way that makes sense to each individual student I teach.

My approach to teaching both maths and physics (or any science) is to teach and explain each new concept in two different but related ways. First I explain why, then I explain how. I believe if you can understand the "why" first and foremost, the "how" follows naturally and little, if anything, needs to be memorized. However I also understand that maths, physics and science don't come naturally to everyone, and that is okay! For each mathematical concept, I break down larger problems into memorizable steps.
