About Nora

I am a Math tutor with over 2 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Applied Mathematics. My passion lies in showing how mathematics can explain real-world choices in business and economics. I often use game theory and optimization techniques to make complex decision-making processes easier to understand. One of my favorite topics to teach is the Nash equilibrium, where students can see how strategies balance in competitive environments. I also enjoy working with linear programming and cost-benefit analysis, which give learners practical tools to tackle real problems. These areas of mathematics are not just theory — they are powerful ways to think about efficiency, strategy, and outcomes. My teaching style is structured but flexible, with a focus on clarity and curiosity. I like to connect abstract concepts with practical examples, such as resource allocation, pricing strategies, or competitive markets. This approach helps students see the direct value of what they are learning. I am especially strong in applying mathematical models to strategic scenarios, helping business and economics students turn theory into insight. By working through problems step by step, learners build both confidence and analytical skills. If you are ready to explore how mathematics shapes decision sciences, I invite you to join me. Together, we can use mathematics not only as a subject to study but as a competitive edge in the world of strategy and decision-making.

The teaching approach is gentle and reflective, built on the belief that true understanding in mathematics comes from grasping concepts rather than memorizing formulas. Lessons focus on building strong foundations in calculus, algebra, and problem-solving, while also opening doors to more advanced areas such as abstract algebra, number theory, and mathematical proofs. Students are encouraged to see mathematics as a language of patterns and ideas rather than a set of rigid rules.

For learners exploring higher mathematics, guidance is given in tackling advanced theoretical concepts with clarity and patience. Each session is designed to help students develop their own way of approaching complex theorems, strengthening not only problem-solving skills but also mathematical creativity. DIY learners and independent researchers are especially supported in shaping methods that match their curiosity and goals.

The classroom atmosphere remains calm, with plenty of space for reflection and questioning. Short exercises, detailed explanations, and guided proofs are combined to deepen insight. Students are invited to think critically, make connections across topics, and find meaning in abstract ideas.

This approach aims not just to improve grades, but to spark a lifelong ability to think mathematically. The focus is always on helping each learner excel by discovering a way of learning that feels natural, powerful, and uniquely their own.
