About Alexander
Hi, I'm Alex.
I've been involved in music for over 25 years and have been playing guitar for most of that time. Throughout my musical journey, I've performed with numerous bands, played on stages ranging from small clubs to large live events, and spent years studying guitar, music theory, ear training, and musicianship through private instruction and independent study.

My teaching philosophy is simple: every skill you develop should support your future growth as a musician.
One of the most common problems guitarists face is discovering years later that they have major gaps in their foundation. They learn songs but never train their ear. They learn scales but never understand harmony. They develop speed but struggle with rhythm, improvisation, or playing with other musicians.
My goal is to help students avoid those dead ends.
From the very first lessons, we work on several aspects of musicianship in parallel:
• Playing songs and accompanying your singing
• Rhythm and timing
• Ear training
• Music theory and harmony
• Fretboard knowledge through the CAGED system
• Technique and efficient movement
This doesn't mean learning everything at once. It means building a strong foundation step by step, making sure that each new skill connects to the others.
Whether your goal is to play for fun, write songs, improvise, join a band, perform on stage, or pursue advanced musical studies, you'll be developing the skills that keep all of those paths open.
A special focus of my teaching is efficient picking technique. Like many guitarists, I spent years analyzing different approaches, correcting mistakes, and studying how advanced players develop speed and accuracy. I now teach a structured approach to alternate picking and synchronization that helps students build solid technique from the start and avoid many of the common obstacles that slow progress later.
I don't teach guitar as a collection of isolated tricks, exercises, or tabs. I teach it as a complete musical instrument.
The goal is not simply to play more notes. The goal is to become a more complete musician.
