About Neil
Completing my Bachelor of Music in Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music provided the technical foundation for my 13 years of teaching. You will find that my approach centers on your individual progress regardless of whether you are a nervous beginner or a candidate for grade exams. Piano requires patience.
I focus on posture and hand position, pedaling technique, and hand independence to ensure you move correctly. My studio is a space where we explore scales and arpeggios, chord voicing, and music theory alongside classical repertoire. Sight transposition and accompaniment skills are also part of our work together. Please reach out if you would like to discuss your musical interests.

Clarity in practice is the only way to reach true performance readiness. Most students actually practice far too much without sufficient focus on the mechanics of their playing.
We will spend time ensuring you feel comfortable with the keyboard before moving toward complex pieces. I provide free access to my annotated practice notes after every lesson so you can review our work during the week.
This system helps you maintain momentum between our meetings. You can expect to see real progress as we resolve technical hurdles together. My goal is to support your development as a musician. This structure ensures you stay aligned with your long term aspirations.
