About Fabiana

I’m an experienced professional development tutor with a background spanning higher education, careers guidance, coaching and recruitment. I have taught professional development at postgraduate level and supported students and professionals at different stages of their careers, from preparing for the workplace to navigating the challenges that come with it.

My experience in recruitment and careers guidance also means I understand professional development from more than one perspective, including what employers look for and the challenges that can arise when building or changing a career.

My academic background includes Law, Business and Philosophy, alongside training in educational practice, coaching, psychology and emotional intelligence. I’m particularly interested in the connection between how we think, how we relate to others and how this shapes our professional lives.

I’m fluent in English, Italian and Spanish and have extensive experience working with international and culturally diverse learners. I aim to offer a professional, thoughtful and welcoming environment where you can speak openly, ask questions and work on the areas that matter to you.

About the lesson

My lessons are aimed at students, graduates and early-career professionals who want to develop the skills and confidence to navigate professional environments more effectively.

We can focus on areas such as emotional intelligence, communication, critical thinking, conflict management, teamwork and self-awareness, depending on your individual needs and goals.

My approach is practical and interactive. I like to connect concepts to real experiences, encouraging you to reflect on situations you have encountered, understand them from different perspectives and explore how you might approach them differently in the future. We will use discussion, practical examples, relevant frameworks and reflection rather than simply working through theory.

I have experience teaching Professional Development at postgraduate level, working with young professionals with and without previous work experience.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes and can cover the wider professional development programme or focus on the areas most relevant to you.
