About Joshua

As a passionate and experienced educator, I am dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential and achieve academic success. With over 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and proven strategies to every lesson.

I am a Microsoft Certified Educator, hold Cambridge Education Certification for Teachers, and am certified by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). My professional background includes working as a Class Teacher at Meadow Hall School, Lagos, where I developed expertise in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

I pride myself on creating a positive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, tackle challenges, and grow academically. My lessons are thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs of each learner, from building foundational skills to mastering advanced concepts.

With a proven track record of helping students excel, I am confident that your child will benefit greatly from my personalized and professional approach to education.

About the lesson

As an experienced private tutor, my approach to teaching is student-centered, focusing on individual needs and learning styles. I create a supportive and engaging environment that fosters curiosity and builds confidence. My lessons combine clear explanations, practical examples, and interactive exercises to ensure thorough understanding.

Teaching Methodology
I employ diverse teaching techniques, including hands-on activities, visual aids, and step-by-step problem-solving, tailored to each student's pace. Regular assessments and constructive feedback help track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Lesson Structure
Each lesson lasts 60–90 minutes, beginning with a quick review of previous topics and objectives for the session. We then dive into new concepts, practice exercises, and end with a recap and homework discussion.

Qualifications and Experience
With a degree in Mathematics Education, I have over 5 years of tutoring experience, helping KS1 and KS2 students excel in Mathematics, English and Science. I am a Microsoft Certified Educator with Cambridge Education Certification for Teachers and hold a TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification. I have also worked as a Class Teacher at Meadow Hall School, Lagos, where I honed my skills in delivering high-quality education and fostering academic excellence. I specialize in building foundational skills, boosting confidence, and preparing students for academic challenges.

Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for students from Preschool to 8th Grade, focusing on building strong foundational skills and academic excellence. Whether your child needs extra support or seeks to excel further, I provide tailored guidance to help them succeed. My approach is suitable for primary school students aged 5–11 (KS1 and KS2) and middle school students up to Grade 8.
